Preparation: Clean and Stage First

Before picking up the camera: declutter every surface, make all beds, put away personal items, clean bathrooms thoroughly, remove unnecessary furniture and add a few fresh plants or flowers. Buyers imagine themselves living in the space — make it easy for them.

Lighting: Natural Light Always Wins

Shoot during the day with all curtains open. Turn on all lights in the room for a warm, inviting atmosphere. Never use the phone's flash — it creates harsh shadows and flattened images. Golden hour (morning 8-10 AM or evening 4-6 PM) gives the warmest, most appealing light.

Angles: Make Rooms Look Bigger

Stand in a corner of the room and shoot diagonally across to the opposite corner — this makes rooms appear larger. Take multiple shots of each room from different angles and choose the most spacious-looking one.

What to Photograph
